Indian Lake Estates Movers (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”) is a professional moving company based in Indian Lake Estates, FL, providing moving services including local moving, long-distance moving, residential moving, commercial moving, and moving and storage solutions.

By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

2. Services Provided

We provide a range of moving services, including but not limited to:

  • Local and long-distance moving services
  • Commercial and residential moving
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Loading and unloading services
  • Storage solutions
  • Same-day moving services

The scope of services will be agreed upon at the time of booking and will be outlined in the service agreement provided to you.

3. Booking and Payment

Booking: To reserve our moving services, you must contact us in advance to provide necessary details, including the size of your move, the date, and your location. A booking is considered confirmed once we send you a confirmation email or message.

Payment: Payment for services is due upon completion of the move, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards, debit cards, checks, and cash. You are responsible for any additional charges incurred during the move, including delays, extra services requested, and unanticipated complications.

Non-refundable Deposits: In some cases, we may require a non-refundable deposit to confirm your booking, particularly for long-distance or large moves. This will be clearly stated during the booking process.

4. Moving Estimates and Fees

Estimates: We provide free estimates based on the information you provide about your move. Estimates are based on the size and complexity of the move and may be subject to change if additional services are requested or if the size of the move is underestimated.

Fees: Our rates are based on time, distance, and the type of services provided. Additional fees may apply for services such as packing, heavy items, stairs, or other special handling requirements. Our team will inform you of any additional fees before starting the move.

5. Responsibilities of the Client

As the client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your move, including the number of items, any special handling requirements, and any hazards or obstructions at the pickup or delivery locations.
  • Ensure that all items to be moved are properly packed and prepared for the move.
  • Remove any valuable, fragile, or irreplaceable items from the premises before the move.
  • Ensure that the moving crew has clear access to your property and that there are no obstacles that may delay or impede the move.
  • Be present during the move to oversee the process and handle any special requests or instructions.

6. Responsibilities of Indian Lake Estates Movers

We are responsible for:

  • Providing a team of trained, professional movers to handle your items safely.
  • Using appropriate moving equipment to ensure your belongings are transported securely.
  • Ensuring timely arrival and completion of the move, barring any unforeseen delays or events beyond our control.
  • Maintaining adequate insurance coverage for your items during the move, as per the terms of the service agreement.
  • Addressing any concerns or issues during the move in a professional and timely manner.

7. Insurance and Liability

Insurance: We provide basic insurance coverage for your items during the move, which covers a set amount per pound of each item moved. If you require additional insurance, please notify us in advance, and we can arrange for additional coverage at an extra cost.

Liability: While we take every precaution to prevent damage to your items, we cannot be held liable for damages caused by inherent risks in moving, such as damage to fragile items that were not properly packed, or damages due to factors beyond our control, such as weather, traffic conditions, or accidents.

Claims: If damage occurs during the move, you must notify us within 24 hours of completion. Claims for damaged or lost items will be handled based on the terms of the insurance policy provided. Please refer to the service agreement for full details.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • Cancellations: If you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled move, we will refund any deposit, minus any cancellation fees (if applicable). Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee, which will be clearly outlined in the service agreement.

  • Rescheduling: If you wish to reschedule your move, please inform us at least 48 hours in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your new preferred date, subject to availability.

9. Delays and Force Majeure

We will make every effort to complete your move on time. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, traffic accidents, strikes, road closures, or other unforeseen events.

In the event of a delay, we will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to minimize any inconvenience.

10. Prohibited Items

For safety reasons, we cannot move the following items:

  • Hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, chemicals, fuel)
  • Perishable goods (e.g., food)
  • Plants or live animals
  • Personal valuables (e.g., jewelry, money, documents)
  • Any item deemed dangerous or illegal

Please make arrangements for these items to be transported separately.

11. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate services if:

  • The client provides inaccurate or misleading information about the move.
  • The client requests unsafe or illegal activities during the move.
  • The client engages in disruptive or abusive behavior toward our staff.

If services are terminated, you will still be responsible for payment for services rendered up to that point.

12. Privacy Policy

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate court located in Florida.

14. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated terms will take effect immediately upon posting.
